Reasons I love this time of the year!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Today we had our first snow in Iowa. According to the 6pm news Waterloo received 0.02 inches and Cedar Falls received 1.50 inches either way I am not happy about any amount of snow! I know I live in Iowa and yes it snows and it snows a lot however I am never ready for the first snow of the year. It means winter is really here and we have a very long four months ahead of us. So, like I said in a previous post, I LOVE this time of year so I decided to turn my frown upside down and make a list of some reasons why:

* Twinkling Lights
* Good Food
* Lots and Lots of Family Time
* Laughter
* Christmas Trees
* The Smells
* Department Store Decorations
* Christmas Vacation
* The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, and The Chipmunks Christmas Albums
* Chocolate Chip Pancakes on Christmas Morning (with butter and syrup)
* Warm gooey Monkey Bread
* Mashed Potatoes with corn
* Santa...yes I still believe
* Cheese Balls especially peppermint with chocolate graham crackers
* Christmas cards
* Wrapping gifts and putting them under the tree
* Shopping for others
* Pitch games
* The all time best Christmas movie Elf
* Wrapping paper

These plus many, many more. Happy Holidays everyone! Only 13 days until the big doctors appointment and 15 days until we are headed home to be with family and friends!
