Scarry Night, Happy Morning

What a birthday! The day started of when I woke up at 4:00am and had to go to the bathroom, now this is not that out of the ordinary but what I found when I got to the bathroom was defiantly not ordinary! I found I had some bleeding, no more than a regular period but still very scary when you are pregnant. I called the on-call doctor and she advised me to lay back down and if it got any heaver then I should go to the emergency room. I did just as she said and both Jason and I went back to bed but there was absolutely no sleeping as both of our nerves were on edge. Finally at 8:30am I got up and there was no more bleeding but I still called my doctor to see what she though was the best course of action. She advised me to have an ultrasound which was scheduled for 11:15am and then I had an appointment with her at 1:00pm. I thought 11:15am would never get here! It seemed like minutes took hours and there was nothing I could do to comfort myself. Finally, Jason and I arrived at the place to get my ultrasound and the first thing the technician did was find the heartbeat and showed us a picture of the baby. Holy Cow were we relieved! The heartbeat was 150 this time which they said it will be slowing as the pregnancy gets further along but all I cared about what hearing it beat. Here are some of the pictures we got today:

This is a side view that shows the ears, eyes, nose and mouth

This one shows the little one sucking its thumb!

This one is a front view with the little one looking right at us. The two little white spots at the bottom of the picture are its feet. She said they were crossed so no finding out the sex today.

Needless to say it was a birthday to remember! Please continue to pray for the little ones health as well as mine! Thanks for all your love.
