Random happenings of a Saturday at the Stinson house

What a day it has been! As I sat down to write a quick update about our Saturday it dawned on me all the things that happen in ONE day!

Our day started at 4:30am when Kinley woke up coughing and sniffling. I let her lay in her bed for a while then went in to get her and put her in bed with us. Normally this would be great because she would go right back to sleep and we might even get to sleep in a little bit but not today! Kinley has recently, as in less than a week ago, learned how to pull herself so when she is playing on our bed the headboard has bars bars she can use pull herself up with so that is exactly what she wanted to do when she got in our bed. We stayed in bed until about 6:15am when we got up and fed her breakfast and so our day began.

Around 8am Jason and I decided we should take Kinley to Urgent Care just to make sure it was teething and not a cold since we will be leaving for Kansas on Friday. Apparently everyone else had the same idea because by the time we got there around 9:30am there was five people in front of us and about seven came in after us! I felt like the room was germ filled with all the coughing and sniffling that was happening. Anyway, we waited for about an hour and finally got called back. Everything looked fine and the doctors said that it was just teething. He said to keep her on Tylenol every six hours and use orajel as needed.

Since we had to be at Urgent Care for almost two hours we ended up missing swimming lessons today. I think Jason and I were more disappointed than Kinley that she was going to miss the lesson. We brought our swimming stuff in case we got done in time but no luck! So we ran a couple quick errands then headed home.   We spend the afternoon watching basketball as a family. Kinley was pretty crank all night but I'm sure it is pretty painful having teeth come through.

The other exciting thing that happened today was that Kinley climbed up all seven stairs that lead up to our upstairs bathroom! We have been trying to get her to crawl up the stairs for the last week but she will get up one and stop but not tonight! She did two then took a little break then went all the rest of the way up! It is the little things that are so fun with her right now!

Here are a few pictures from resent happenings:

This is how we found Kinley on Wednesday morning:

I sure hope this doesn't mean more snow/rain for us!

This is Kinley in all her glory of learning how to pull herself up to play with her toys

We still have a very happy baby even when she is not feeling good
and we wait for an hour at Urgent Care

She have found a new love: my laptop!

Also for anyone who might care both the Men and Women K-State basketball teams secured 4th place for the Big 12 tournament! Now we wait until next weekend to see what happens!

Have a great rest of your weekend!
