Update and quick request

Happy first day of spring and Sunday evening!

I am so sorry I have been absent from here for a while. There has been so many things going one in our family that I have little time even to myself recently. Everything is fine just very busy! I was suppose to take Kinley's 10 month photos on Saturday (Happy 10 month birthday, Kinley!) but decided to have a girls day instead. We enjoyed lunch and shopping at the mall with some of my girlfriends then Kinley and I went to sonic, washed the car, went to Toys R Us and Target. It was my first time in a long time taking Kinley out to run errands by myself, I would have to give myself an A plus! We had a great time and I am so much enjoying interacting with her. I love this age! She is so much fun and wants to mimic anything you do.  We came home and Jason made steak for dinner then we watched the K-State game...the steak was great but the game didn't turn out quite the way we would have liked.

It has been a rainy overcast day here all day. It started when we were woke up at 5:30am today with our house phone and my cell phone ringing, of course you only think the worst when your phone rings at that hour. It didn't occur to either of us that a family member would not be calling both phones at the same time but anyway, it ended up being a "Code Red" call from Blackhawk county telling us there was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 6:15am. Well right on cue at 6:00am the rain started followed by hail and finally wind!  It sounded like our roof was going to fall in! And as you have probably already guessed Kinley, Beasley, Jason and I were all wide awake! The storm only lasted a few minutes but Beasley and Kinley didn't want to go back to sleep, Jason and I on the other hand could hardly keep our eyes open. So all four of us go into our bed and that is where we stayed until 7:00am when Kinley decided that it was time to wake up. Being the great husband and dad that Jason is he got up with Kinley and let me sleep in! Thank goodness, I needed the sleep! We spend the whole morning...ok really like until 1:00pm in our PJ's having family time. I love days like these, we don't get them very often so I cherish every moment when we do. We finally all got ready and left the house to run some errands by 1:30pm. Jason and I grabbed lunch at Sonic then we went to Wal-Mart, Bed, Bath & Beyond and HyVee.  We had some Christmas gift cards we wanted to spend and boy did we find some great deals! We went to Bed, Bath & Beyond to find new nice pillows and ended up walking out with a new liquor cabinet, comfort set and of course the pillows!

Anyway, long story short we had a great weekend of family time and I can't wait until April 23/24 because that is the next weekend we have nothing but Easter service planned!

Lastly, like I said in the title I have a quick request. My mom goes for her quarterly cancer check tomorrow. If each of you could take a quick minute to say an extra prayer tonight or tomorrow morning I would greatly appreciate your time. This time she has a body scan done tomorrow to see if cancer has spread anywhere else in her body then will go see her doctors on Wednesday to find out the results then next Monday she goes to see her eye doctor where they will tell her what is actually happening with the tumor. As always we pray that the cancer has not spread and that the tumor has shrunk but please also pray to give the doctors the wisdom to perform the test correctly and find any abnormalities, and for a safe trip for my mom.

I hope everyone has a great rest of their Sunday! I will update with any information as soon as I know!
