Since we moved into our house in April of 2008 we have wanted to remove a couple of evergreen looking trees that are by our deck but we have just never taken the time to take them out but this weekend that all changed!
Friday
We didn't do anything super exciting. I had to pick up my race packet for the race I was doing on Saturday so by the time I did that and got home Jason had dinner ready. We are trying out a 6 Week Meal Plan I found on Pinterest and Friday was Fish Friday. To say the least we are not fish people in our family! But you can read all about our review of the meal HERE. After dinner we vegged out and I went to bed early because of the race the next day.
Saturday
My alarm went off bright and early at 6:45am so I could get up and get ready for the Run Like A Mother 4-mile race I was doing at 9:00am! I hate setting my alarm any day of the week but especially on a weekend! Oh well! Overall the race was fun and I got to spend an hour chatting with my friend Kim! We finished the 4-miles in just about 60 minutes. We were pretty happy with our time and hope to improve before next year.
After the race was over I headed home to meet Jason and Kinley. We then headed out to lunch at one of our favorite local restaurants Rudy's Tacos where we indulged in some very yummy food! After lunch was over we headed to Menard's. We have been debating for a couple of weeks now if we should sign another two year contract with Mediacom or switch to Direct TV. There were pros and cons to both but Jason had finally decided that we were switching to Direct TV and if you signed up at Menard's we could get a $100 Menard's gift card so we were sold! We also picked up some plants for the deck and a couple bags of mulch then headed to PetSmart for get a few more fish for the pond and a new beta for my office. I was feeling worse as the day went on thanks to my allergies so we headed home and I took a nap while Jason and Kinley played in the back yard.
After a nice two hour time I woke up just in time to make dinner. We had a super yummy Turkey Load!
