Week 2
6 Still Life
Still life to me is at the dinner table with Jason and Kinley. We started cooking most of our dinner meals at home last May then that got interrupted with the big move and since moving to Warrensbug we have sat down at the table to eat the evening meal together. It is nice for the three of us to spend some time together while saving money and eating at home!
7 Simplicity
This photo is somewhat of a lie...I didn't have Starbucks today but I did have coffee from the local place on campus but I forgot to take a picture therefore I'm using this one that I had from last spring. One thing that bring simplicity to my life is a good cup of coffee. It can warm you up on a cold day, it provides caffeine that is needed, and make life just a little less stressful!
8 Front Door
Ironically late last night (after midnight so actually today) I was searching for a few things that I haven't found since we moved to Missouri one of which was my high school class ring. I knew there was a box in the office of stuff my mom had saved so I thought I would check there so see if that is where the misplaced ring might be well I didn't find my class ring but instead found a envelope labeled "James, Jessica-Blue" that caught my attention. I opened to find I had saved all the stuff from when I went through sorority recruitment at Emporia State University! Items in the folder included:
-Certificate of Installation to the ESU Panhellenic Council
-Invitations from the chapters to House Tours round and Skit Night (yes, we still had skit night in 2001)
-my name tag (bootylishish blue group)
-Recruitment book
-Preference schedule
-first note from my sorority mom
-Preference note from Kim Nienstedt I was given at Preference (but don't worry I did not take the note from the house I got it back on bid night!)
But the most treasured item in the envelope was my invitation to join the sisterhood of Alpha Sigma Alpha. I chose to use the picture of the ASA front door as my picture today because after walking though this door for the first time as a member on August 26, 2001 it changed my life forever. I am the person I am today and I am where I am at today because of this sorority and her member.

9 In A Drawer
I took this picture of my Craft Corner drawers because this pretty purple tote has been with me for almost 10 years now. It served as a storage container for my cloths when I lived at the ASA house and worked at Camp then when I moved to grad school it became Craft Corner. It has lived in six houses as Craft Corner, we have a long history. However I haven't had time to craft in about six years so first step is to clean up the drawer then second step is to get back to crafting!
10 Game
Jason and I enjoy playing games of any type, we have a pretty decent collection of games but the problem at the moment is we have not made any friends to play our games with here in Missouri! When it is just the two of us playing we will typically play Farkle or UNO but when we are with Jason's family it is always Pitch!
