Grandma Dee, Grandpa Kevin, and Great Grandma Cook arrived at our house Saturday morning around 1am so they had to wait until later that morning to meet Kinley since she was already in bed! On Saturday morning everyone had a change to spend time with Kinley then we all went to the 4th Street Cruise and lunch in downtown Waterloo. Kinley seemed to enjoy her first Cruise and Grandpa Kevin really enjoyed seeing all the cars. Saturday night we were able to treat our guest to some yummy BBQ at a new BBQ place in Cedar Falls. Sunday Kinley went to her first church service and was a wonderful little lady! It was our first week to have service outside and what a beautiful day it was! We then enjoyed lunch at LJ's and an afternoon of shopping at Menards. By then end of our shopping both Kinley and mommy were tuckered out so we came home and took a nice long nap. Daddy then grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob for dinner and the rest of the evening was spend playing games in the back yard. Grandma Dee, Grandpa Kevin, and Great Grandma Cook had to leave after lunch on Monday so mommy, daddy and Kinley spend the day napping at home then daddy grilled steak and twice-baked-potatoes and we enjoyed family time on the back porch.
Here are some pictures that highlight the weekend:

We took Kinley for her two week check up and to meet Dr. Christianson today. She weighted in at 8 pounds 5 ounces so she has gained about 3 ounces since we left the hospital but is not quite back at her birth weight. Dr. Christianson said she is doing great and we don't have to go back until her 2 month check up. Kinley was very well behaved and would have slept though the whole appointment in we wouldn't have had to undress her for the nurse and doctor!
Also, for those of you that don't know part of my incision from the c-section came open last Wednesday night so I went to see my doctor on Thursday. She said what had happened was there was a puss pocket behind the incision and it had forced an opening to drain. She also said this is normal for this to happen and unless I get a fever I had nothing to worry about and it should heal in about two weeks. I now have a home health nurse that comes twice a day to repack the pocket with gauze. I also went back to the doctor on Tuesday where she said it is healing but I will still have to have the nurse come twice and I go back to see here on Monday. Hopefully it will continue to heal and I will be cleared to come to Kansas on the 13th!

It helps if I log in as myself instead of as my husband!
As I said:
Did you freak out once you realized your incision had come open? I think I would have.
Sorry, I just noticed your comment! I didn't see it was open but when I had Jason look to see what was going on he freaked out! It was kind of funny but I know he was very scared for what was going on!
