We had our 30 week appointment today; everything went very well and looks right on schedule. She was super active today so they had a hard time getting a good heartbeat reading since she was moving so much. In the end her heartbeat was 143 which has dropped a bit but they said as long as it was between 120-160 then everything was fine. My belly measured at 31 which the doctor also said was fine and right on schedule.
At the end of our appointment I went to the counter to make our next appointment which will be during spring break and the nice lady said "spring break is a slow time around here so we will go ahead and make your last 5 appointments when we are here next time" excuse me?!? Only 5 more appointments?!? You’re kidding right?!? Nope, we have 6 appointments left, how crazy! I have had several conversations with students this week about how I feel like 10 weeks is a long time and we still have plenty of time until she arrives, but then today when this happened I freaked out just a little bit!
On a positive note the weather is getting much warmer in Iowa! It has been in the 30's the last few days and should be low 40's by this weekend! Jason keeps reminding me that 30 degrees is not warm but at this point I don't care it feels great!
Lastly, if you are the praying kind please keep my niece Ebony in your prayers as she is in the hospital with RSV. She has had cold symptoms for the last few days and finally she was able to get in to see a doctor today and they immediately sent her to the hospital where she is now. They have been giving her breathing treatments every four hours and will be watching her over-night tonight. Please pray that she is given the strength to get better.
