Kansas trip and Ottawa Baby Shower

Jason finally made it home at 11:30pm on Thursday night! We had a little scare since Atlanta was having a bad storm almost all flights were delayed so we were worried he would miss his flight in Minneapolis due to the delay in Atlanta. Luckily his delay was only 30ish minutes so the rest of the trip went well. We left on Friday morning for Kansas and arrived in Ottawa around 4:30pm. We were able to see my parents, sister and Ebony for a little while at my dad's shop. Jason had a chance to hold Ebony and Beasley wanted to get a closer look at her, luckily my mom had her camera ready and took this great picture:

We then headed to Lyndon to Jason's cousin's house to watch K-State play Baylor in the semi final round of the Big 12 tournament. We had a great time catching up with friends and watching the Cats get a victory and advance on to the Big 12 Championship Game. We then headed to Osage City to Keith and Debbie's house for the night.
On Saturday Jason was able to get tickets to watch K-State play KU in the Big 12 Championship Game at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. I spent the day shopping in Topeka with Debbie and made it back to Osage just in time for a nap then we watching the game on TV. Jason said he had a great time at the game minus the outcome.
Sunday my sister hosted my baby shower in Ottawa. I had a great time catching up with family and some friends that I haven't seen in a while. Here are a few pictures from the event:

The yummy cake!

After the shower we were able to enjoy some down time with my family while we played dominoes. Here is a quick shot of the whole family:

Back row: Jason, Sam (bother-in-law), Jeffrey (brother) and my Dad
Front row: me, Margo (sister), Ebony (Niece) and my mom

Also, just a cute picture of my dad (Grandpa Kevin) feeding Ebony!

Overall we had a great time in Kansas and are sad to be leaving. We have our second Lamaze class tonight so I'm sure there will be plenty to tell after that! Please keep praying for my mom and have a wonderful week!
